Other images of the series are in the item for the Apples and Other Languages exhibition.</p><p>The ‘Portraits’ (final image) combine single-species leaves or stems with text from conservation guide The Scrub Management Handbook (English Nature, 2001).</p> <p><b>Photos taken by the artist and author.
