Curious about Care - Talks and Presentations (Contextualising Information)
Curious about Care is a series of painting machines reliant on the attention of others for their activation. By making public the role of care in the machine’s maintenance and upkeep this research seeks to understand if actively engaging the hand of others in the manufacture of a painting, in real time and with an audience, alters engagement and broadens access to the complex debates inherent in the works.
This item contains contextualising information about talks given by Kidd, including a copy of the talk and presentation slides delivered by Kidd at the Painting in Time Symposium, Leeds, July 2015, which took place alongside the Painting in Time exhibition at the Tetley Gallery.
It also contains the script and presentation slides for Kidd's talks at Manchester School of Art and Glasgow School of Art in February 2018.
