This project identifies and investigates a film festival as a participatory action research method and framework for researchers seeking impact.

Research is centred on the case study Shextreme Film Festival: the world’s first film festival celebrating women in extreme sports and adventure.

This item contains audio-visual documentation of the second Shextreme Film Festival, the first Shextreme Film School and Shextreme building an international audience reach as an invited film partner for Full Screen Tour: a creative programme of original art, music and film touring the French Alps.
