Public Acts brings together 2 projects that through temporary public intervention, seek to alter our perceptions of our daily interactions in public spaces, turning the functional and recreational into acts both poetic and performative.

This item documents Conductor 8 Movements, a 60 minute choreographed performance at Preston Bus Station to mark its 50th Anniversary. The event involved the slow sequenced movement of 32 buses and volunteers. A soundtrack was created by Preston Filed Audio combining recordings from the Bus station and electronic loops, composed in response to score drawings by the artist.
Conductor 8 was filmed by Jared Schiller and re-presented as part of the exhibition, Brutal and Beautiful: 50 Years in the Life of Preston Bus Station at the Harris Museum and Art Gallery.
