The Tarrare Project: History of Medicine and The Depraved Appetite of Tarrare the Freak

Research programme given to audience members at 2015 premiere of puppet chamber opera <i>The Depraved Appetite of Tarrare the Freak </i>at the Bristol Festival of Puppetry, Tobacco Factory Theatres. Documents the collaborative research, which informed the development of the show, into the case study of 18th-century medical anomaly Tarrare by Dr Laura Purcell-Gates, Dr Alan Bates, Dr David Turner, Dr John Lee and the intercalated BA in Medical Humanities programme at Bristol University.
