Holding Space (part of doing together 24)
Holding Space
Workshop with Stacey Pottinger as part of doing together 24
Friday 5 April 2024
During this session, we held space for each other, offering each other a listening ear and facilitated conversation within a supportive environment. The session was designed to offer participants an opportunity to make together, whilst discussing and presenting their practice, thoughts and projects to other artists, researchers and creative practitioners.
During the session we undertook grounding exercises, learnt about creative co-mentoring, made together and reflected on our individual experience.

Workshops, delivered by staff and postgraduate students from across the University, share practice-based research methods and a broad range of approaches to practice. doing together is proposed as a generous space to make/do/share and discuss practice with colleagues from a range of different Schools.
Throughout the symposium, facilitators – alongside participants – test out ways of doing together in an effort to make their practice-based research explicit, rather than simply describe it.
