Presentation 5 from the Capturing Creativity, 2023 conference on Monday 18th September 2023, given by Dr. Stephanie Meece of University of the Arts, London (UAL).

Dr. Meece is the Scholarly Communications Manager at UAL, responsible for the university’s Open Access policy, management of the institutional repository (UAL Research Online) and supporting researchers in scholarly communication. UAL is Europe’s largest arts and design university, ranked second in the world for Art and Design (QS World University Rankings 2023); its open access repository is specialised for research in arts and design, and includes a substantial proportion of practice research.

In the presentation, Dr. Meece shares and discuss the policies, workflow, support and communications that UAL have devised over 12 years of managing a large open access online collection of creative practice research, and some of the challenges they continue to face.
