Disability Activism and Advocacy - 'We Are Everywhere' Zine
This research project was about disabled people’s experiences of activism and advocacy.
We explored the barriers disabled people face when taking part in activism and advocacy, along with how this can be improved.
The research was completed through an online survey and creative 'zine' (magazine) workshops engaging people throughout the South West.
‘We Are Everywhere’ is a zine that was created as part of the project. It was produced using artwork made in online group sessions and quotes from conversations and an online survey.
The zine is available to download as an accessible pdf file, the zine contains content written in long form and easy read format. A video recording with audio description of the zine, page by page, can also be accessed in the 'Disability Activism and Advocacy' collection on BSU data. If you would like a printed copy of the zine please email: wearethepeople@bathspa.ac.uk.
We know that the formats we have made available will not be accessible for everyone. Please get in touch (email: wearethepeople@bathspa.ac.uk) if you can recommend other formats that we could use for sharing the outcomes of this project.
