This document aims to support teacher educators who are planning and implementing a curriculum in line with the Core Content Framework for Initial Teacher Education (CCF) in England but is also of wider relevance.
It interprets statements (in the CCF) of what trainee teachers should learn by exploring research from the 'Learning Sciences', drawing particularly on cognitive psychology and neuroscience. The intention is to expand possibilities for understanding learning in relation to existing educational perspectives.
