This resource is used as part of a workshop introducing trainee teachers to primary science. It has a focus on explaining that scientific literacy is a key aim for science education.The resource invites trainee teachers to think critically about claims for the educational benefits of fish oil supplements.


This resource is an outcome of a wider project: Enhancing the Learning Sciences in Initial Teacher Education. It is one of a collection of teaching/learning resources developed to support teachers in becoming critical consumers of neuroscience and addressing neuromyths.
